Additional General Manager Sardar Shahadat Ali has been appointed as the new Acting General Manager of Eastern Railway.
As General Manager Nasir Uddin Ahmed has retired, he was given this additional responsibility by the Ministry of Railways.
Recently, Sardar Shahadat Ali visited Chittagong Railway Station when he supervised whether the passengers were abiding by the health rules and whether the concerned officers and employees of the railways were fulfilling their duties properly.
Railway Eastern Public Relations Officer Toushia Ahmed said Sardar Shahadat Ali was given the additional responsibility of General Manager after the retirement of General Manager Nasir Uddin Ahmed.
Sardar Shahadat Ali said, "I am keeping an eye on all aspects including the railway stations with responsibility. I am keeping abreast of whether the health rules are being followed by passengers and whether the officers and employees are performing their duties properly”.
