Sewing machine distribution programme was held at the premises of Chuadanga Probin Hitousi Sangha to support underprivileged individuals on Friday.
The event was presided over by AKM Ali Akhtar, President of the Sangha, with Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Jahirul Islam attending as the chief guest. Retired Principal of Chuadanga Mohila Government College, SM Israfil, was present as special guest, and the programme was conducted by the organization’s General Secretary, Abul Kalam Azad.
Distinguished attendees included Advocate Asaduzzaman Goni, Advocate Amirul Faruque, retired Upazila Education Officer Nurzahan, retired Railway Sub-Assistant Engineer Abdul Halim, BKB officer Jamirul Islam, retired Pourasabha Executive Engineer Emamul Islam, and Abu Bokor.
DC Jahirul Islam personally handed over sewing machines to selected recipients, emphasizing the initiative’s role in empowering families through self-employment.
