Severed head found 10 days after body was found

On July 10, Police recovered the body of an unidentified headless youth hidden under a bamboo bush on the west bank of a pond at Gias Uddin in Tatera village of Sahebabad union in Brahmanpara upazila of Cumilla.

Police filed a case on the same day and sent the headless body to Cumilla Medical College Hospital for autopsy. On July 14, the case was taken to Comilla PBI for further investigation. 

Under the direction of PBI DIG Banoj Kumar Majumder and PBI Cumilla Superintendent of Police Mizanur Rahman, the main accused in the case, Md. Jamal Hossain, 50, was arrested by the PBI from Kandirpar area of Cumilla on Monday afternoon. 

On the same day, the severed head of the body was recovered from the pond of Gias Uddin of Sahebabad Tatera village in Brahmanpara. 

Superintendent of Police Mizanur Rahman told this to reporters at a press conference at the Cumilla PBI office on Tuesday noon. Officers investigating the case and senior officials were present at the time.
