Seven war crime accused arrested in Nilphamari

Police Tuesday arrested seven war crime accused of 1971 from different villages of Dimla Upazila of Nilphamari, reports BSS. The arrested persons are- Ekramul Haque, 78, son of late Ibrahim Munsi of Khalisha Chapani Union, Abdus Sattar, 79, son of late Shahdat Ullah of Dimla Sadar Union, Abdul Khaleq, 71, son of late Abdul Hakim of Balapara Union, Moklesar Rahman Khoka, 76, son of Baktear Uddin, Shahidullah sarkar, 70, son of late Kasim Uddin and Nurul Haque, 65, son of late Nafir Uddin Fesu of Gayabari Union and Shadat Hossain, 68, son of late Hatem Ali of Khagakhri Union.

Police said the arrestees are accused of a case filed on November 20, 2017 with International Crime Tribunal (ICT) on charge of committing war crimes against humanity during Liberation war in 1971. Police Super Ashraf Hossain said the arrestees would be produced before the ICT in Dhaka.
