A mobile court on Thursday sentenced a man to two months in prison for harassing passengers at Sylhet Osmani International Airport.
The man, posing as a loader in the airport’s parking area, allegedly followed passengers with luggage trolleys, handled their bags without permission, and tried to forcefully load items onto vehicles.
Airport authorities, including APBN and Ansar personnel, caught him on the spot and handed him over to the mobile court.
The man admitted to the court that he had been involved in such acts at the airport for the past two years and had previously been warned several times.
Executive Magistrate Md. Emdadul Haque Sharif confirmed the incident.
In a similar case last August, five others were also sentenced for passenger harassment at the airport.
