Seminar on higher edn in Korea held at DU

Under the initiative of the Korean Universities Alumni Association of Bangladesh, a seminar was held on Sunday, at Dhaka University Modern Language Institute Auditorium. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman attended the seminar as the chief guest.

President of Korean Universities Alumni Association of Bangladesh Professor Dr. Korean Ambassador to Dhaka Mr Lee Jang-Kun (Gat Khabab Oudhham-Kabnah). The vice-president of the organization, Prof. Dr. Mo Mamunur Rashid and the director of the Institute of Modern Languages, Prof. Dr. ABM Rezaul Karim Fakir presented two separate papers on Higher Education in Korea, Korean Language and Culture. First Secretary of the Korean Embassy in Dhaka. Yongmin CO (Ut Nadanhamsarah Jhobar) and member of Bangladesh Public Service Commission Professor Dr. Delwar Hossain and the secretary general of the organization. Saiful Haque participated in the discussion.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman expressed sincere thanks to the ambassador for providing all-round cooperation in the establishment of this alumni association and said that through this the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries will be strengthened. He hoped that this Alumni Association will play an important role in creating a strong network among people of various professions who have returned to Bangladesh after higher education from Korea. Referring to Korea as one of Bangladesh's development partners, the vice chancellor said that through this association, the area of exchange of people's lifestyle, thoughts and values will be further expanded through this association. The Vice-Chancellor urged the members of the Korean Universities Alumni Association of Bangladesh to play a role in the overall development of the country, including the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, and to work from their respective positions to strengthen Bangladesh-Korea bilateral relations.
