Seminar on digital healthcare held at BRUR

A seminar on ‘Digital Healthcare in Bangladesh’ was held in virtual classroom of Academic Building No-2 on the campus at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) in the city on Thursday.

Vice-chancellor of BRUR Professor Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah as the chief guest inaugurated the seminar organised by the Department of Sociology, reports BSS.

Presided over by Registrar of BRUR Colonel (Retd) Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal, students and teachers of the Department of Sociology, officials and employees of the university participated in the event.

Director of the M & Q Directorate of Army Headquarters of Bangladesh Army Brigadier General Md. Abdul Hamid delivered keynote speech in the seminar moderated by Lecturer of the Department of Sociology ABM Nurullah.

Brigadier General Hamid said the present government is able to provide digital services in the medical sector like in all other service providing sectors.

“As the country moves forward in the field of digitised information and communication technology, common people living in remote areas have now very easy access to digitised telemedicine services,” he said.

He laid emphasis on engaging more efforts in raising social awareness to bring the entire rural population under digital healthcare system for providing healthcare services.
