A public awareness campaign, press briefing and seminar on “Skills and Awareness for Overseas Employment” was held in Atgharia upazila of Pabna on Wednesday. Atgharia UZ Chairman Md Tanvir Islam addressed the seminar as the chief guest at the Upazila Parishad auditorium.
Atgharia UNO Fuara Khatun presided over the programme. while Upazila Health Complex Family Planning Officer Md. Rafiqul Hasan, Assistant Director of Pabna District Employment and Public Health Office Akhlaq Uz-Zaman spoke.
Speakers at the press briefing and seminar said that during the announcement of Election Manifesto in 2018, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced that if she wins the election, there are plans to create 12.7 million jobs in the next five years. An average of 100 youths and young women from each upazila will be provided employment abroad. And the govt is working for that.
