Second win for Police FC

Bangladesh Police FC registered their second victory of Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football defeating former champions Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra by 1-0 at Bashundhara Kings Arena on Saturday. 

The services team, with this win placed third in the points table after obtaining seven points from three outings so far. 

On the other hands, Sheikh Russel KC suffered their first defeat in the ongoing BPL. They collected four points from the same number of outings. 

On the day, the first half of the match was ended in a goalless draw. 

After the interval, Venezuela’s striker Edward Enrique Morillo Jimenez scored the all-important goal on 65th minute for the winners.  

Bangladesh Police captain, defender Mohammed Isa Faysal said, “We played our level best. We has a target to win the match. We fulfil our dream. To win against Sheikh Russel KC is a big success, because they are the former champions and the treble winners. They are also a strong side at the moment and one of the title aspirants.”

Sheikh Russel KC captain goalkeeper Mitul Marma said, “We could not create any chance against Bangladesh Police FC. Our strikers failed to score goals and we failed to compete from the early stage.”
