As a sequel of previous enmity, Organising Secretary of Bogura district Secchasebak League Abu hanif Pramanik Mister has been killed through stabbing in front of Shakpara Mosque of the town around 11-45 am Friday.
Being informed, Bogura District Superintendent of Police Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan BPM, Additional Superintendent of Police Sonaton Chakravarty and other police high ups have visited the spot.
It is learnt, victim Secchasebak League leader was a councillor candidate from ward-14 under last Municipal Election and he was taking preparation to contest in the next election as well.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sonaton Chakravarty informed assailants stabbed Abu Hanif Pramanik Mister with sharp weapons in front of Shakpal mosque and manged to escape.
Local people rescued fatally injured Hanif from the spot and rushed him to Shahid Ziur Rahman Medical College Hospital where he died during treatment. Police recovered an axe from the spot. Police opined, the murder might be a sequence of the previous enmity.
Bogura District Secchasebak Leauge Vice President Sajedur Rahman Shahin, General Secretary Zulfiqur Rahman Shanto and Office Secretary Mashiur Rahman have vehemently condemned and protested the stabbing and murder of Secchaseabk League leader Abu Hanif and demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the killers.
Officer in charge of Shahjanpur Police Station Ambar Hossain informed, investigation on the incident of murder has been started and police started crackdown to arrest the assailants.
