Despite rise of temperature, mild cold wave is still sweeping is some districts of the country, paralyzing the normal life of the people.
As the sweeping severe cold wave stopped on Sunday, the temperature started increasing across the country.
According to Meteorological Department, in the meantime, two to three degree Celsius temperature increased in some particular parts.
At the same time, with the rising temperature, some parts of the country will witness light to moderate rainfall, sources of the Meteorological Department said.
Meteorologist Bazlul Rashid said, the temperature started to increase but as the night and day temperature difference is very little and the coverage of dense fog and mist, people are still facing the intensity of the winter.
"Within the next few days fog will disappear, sunlight will be available, then situation will improve", the Meteorologist said.
He further said, "At the end of this week, some parts of the country will witness rainfall, as a result, the fog will disappear. This will reduce the intensity of cold but seasonal wave will continue".
As per the MED office forecast on Saturday, the capital city witnessed the lowest temperature. At the early hour temperature reduced to 12.2 degree Celsius, while the highest temperature of the day on an average was 14-14 degree Celsius.
Apart from this, the lowest temperature of the country was recorded at Faridpur 10.1 degree Celsius. Some parts of the South-Western region witnessed temperature below 11 degree.
When the temperature goes below 10 degree, cold wave starts to sweep. Hence, the MED office stated that, cold wave stopped on Saturday.
The highest temperature was recorded 26.6 degree Celsius at Taknaf on Sunday while the capital city's highest temperature was 17.2 degree and lowest 12.2 degree Celsius.
