The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) issued a release on Tuesday saying that in districts where the maximum temperature falls below 10 degrees Celsius, the secondary-level educational institutions in those districts will be closed.
According to the release
signed by S. M. Ziaul Haider Henry, a severe cold current
is flowing in different districts
of the country. It is known that the normal activities of education
for students are being disrupted
in this ongoing winter. In this
case, secondary-level educational institutions will be closed in districts where the maximum temperature will fall below 10 degrees Celsius (with proof of weather forecast).
The regional deputy directors of DSHE will discuss with the district education officers of those districts and order the closure. Educational institutions will remain closed until the maximum temperature reaches 10 degrees Celsius or above.
DSHE earlier said that the secondary-level educational institutions in the districts where the maximum temperature will fall below 17 degrees Celsius will be closed. But after some time, DSHE withdrew from that decision. A new decision was made.
