The Financial Institutions Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Bangladesh has invited applications from Bangladeshi nationals for scholarships for a two-year master's program in the academic year 2021-22.
Scholarships will be awarded for the Masters program in Actuarial Science and Actuarial Management in the UK.
Candidates interested in the scholarship should have the following qualifications:
1. Must have unconditional offer letter (full time) from Cass Business School (now known as The Business School) of City University of London, UK.
2. The maximum age limit on 31st August should be 35 years.
3. In the case of a government official, the job must be permanent and if a master's degree is taken already from abroad after entering the job, it will be considered ineligible.
4. Applicant must have a bachelor's or master's degree in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Applied Statistics for a period of four years.
5. In case of bachelor's or master's degree done abroad, equivalent certificate should be submitted by UGC.
6. Previously government-private or any international full scholarship or fellowship recipients will not be considered eligible for this scholarship.
7. Must have at least three first classes / equivalent in education or at least 3.5 on the scale of CGPA 4. Minimum 4.5 on the scale of 5 or must have marks of 75 percent or higher.
8. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in computer, Word, Windows, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, e-mail, Internet browsing, have published research articles in foreign journals and in case of married candidates who have not more than 2 children.
Application forms for the scholarship program can be downloaded from the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance (http://www.fid.gov.bd) and the website of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (http://www.idra.gov.bd). Then with the application form
3 copies of passport size colour photograph, all certificates of educational qualification, attested copy of examination marksheet / grade point, copy of national identity card, attested copy of passport, TOEFL, attested copy of IELTS (Academic) examination result should be attached and sent to Insurance Development and Control Authority, 37/ A, Dilkusha Business Area, Dhaka.
