At the initiative of Gopalganj Zila Parishad, one-time scholarships were provided to meritorious students passing SSC and HSC examinations in the district in 2019 at the conference room of Jila Parishad on Thursday morning.
A total of 108 meritorious students including 57 male and 56 female students received the one-time scholarship of Tk 5,000 each.
Gopalganj Superintendent of Police (SP) Ayesha Siddique was present as the chief guest at the function presided over by district Awami League President and Zila Parishad Chairman Chowdhury Emdadul Haque.
Gopalganj Zila Parishad Member Md Lutfar Rahman (Luthu) Mia conducted the function while Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Abu Yusuf Mohammad Rezaur Rahman, District Education Officer Muhammad Siddiqul Islam, Panel Mayor Sheikh Shahabuddin (Hitu) Sheikh were present as special guests.
