Md Rezaul Karim, Chairman, Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB) and Vice- Chairman, Asian Shippers’ Alliance is proceeding towards Malaysia on Saturday to attend the Asian Shippers’ Alliance (ASA) Annual Meeting which will be held on 25 - 26 November, 2019 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia organized by Malaysia National Shippers’ Council (MNSC). The meeting will be inaugurated by H. E. Minister of International Trade & Industry, Malaysia.
The meeting will discuss Trade Situation and Changes in Locations of Manufacturing Facilities; Freight Market and Freight Rate Trends; Impact of Increase of Concentration in the Market by 3 Shipping mega alliance & The Hongkong seaport alliance. And also discuss about development of Global Shipping Alliance & its relationship with Global Shipper Forum.
Apart from Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thai, Korea, Macau, China, Sri Lanka & Malaysian Shippers’ Council’s representatives will also attend the meeting. SCB Senior Vice Chairman Md. Ariful Ahsan & Directors Arzu Rahman Bhuiyan & Afsar Uddin Ahmed will accompany the Chairman. They are expected to return on 28 November, 2019.
