Sonali Bank disburses loan in single digit rate of interest aiming to promote the development of entrepreneurship in the country, said Ataur Rahman Prodhan, Managing Director and CEO of Sonali Bank Limited.
He urged upon the bankers not to harass any loan seekers so that industrialization and economic growth can happen smoothly.
Ataur Rahman was addressing the bank’s officers and employees at a meeting in Rangpur on Saturday afternoon.
The conference took place at the Prime Medical College auditorium organized by General Managers’ Office Rangpur.
He further said the government is establishing one hundred economic zones across the country with a view to encouraging rapid economic development including a mega project in Rangpur area to help its farming.
Mr. Pradhan stressed the need for promoting entrepreneurship to eradicate unemployment problems from the country.
General Manager of the bank Md Nurul Islam, Deputy General Manager Abdul Kuddus, AGM Abdul Barek Chowdhury and AGM Syed Towhidul Islam were also present on the occasion.
