South Bangla Agriculture and Commerce Bank (SBAC) Limited introduced an Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) solution ‘SBAC Fast Account’ allowing customers to open accounts without physically visiting bank branch.
Md. Masud Biswas, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank & Deputy Head of Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) inaugurated this service at bank’s head office in the Dhaka on Saturday.
Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank, presided over the launching ceremony. BFIU Deputy General Managers Kamal Hossain and Md. Masud Rana and Joint Director Md. Rokon-Uz-Zaman were resource persons in the workshop on "Prevention of Money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism" through virtually.
Bank’s Additional Managing Director M. Shamsul Arefin welcomed the ceremony. While, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank, Shafiuddin Ahmed and Md. Kamal Uddin spoke in the ceremony.
SBAC Fast Account App is now available at Google Play Store and Bank’s website. Customer can open accounts by following the procedures of simplified e-KYC from anywhere anytime.
