While addressing at the human chain, Md Kamruzaman Khan, who is also the president of the Crime Reporters' Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) said, “ If  any complications arise, we are proposing  extending the MRT-6 project from Uttara’s Diabari to Savar Radio Colony via Birulia, with subsequent stages reaching the National Martyr’s Memorial in Nabinagar.”

Md Kamruzaman Khan , also the Publication and Publicity  Affairs Secretary of Savar Upazila Awami League further said, in cases where overland expansion is unfeasible, I am suggesting  integrating a portion into the metro rail project underground, he continued.

He further said that applications have been submitted to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, urging for the metro rail project's extension to Savar's municipal boundary.

A notice has been served to the principal secretary to the prime minister, and similar communication has been conveyed through letters and direct communication to the railway minister, secretary, and director-general, he disclosed.

Savar's residents, who have long been underserved, anticipate rail services as part of the government's Smart Bangladesh initiative. They emphasized that their program would persist until their demands are met.
