The target to given inoculation of first dose in Savar may exceeded Saturday, and the number of given doses suspected to touches one lakhs this day alone at 20 centers across the Upazila, said Dr Sayemul Huda, Upazila health and family planning officer of Savar, on the outskirts of the capital.
Since Saturday morning, the Upazila health division started to inoculate first dose of Covid vaccine to people as per pre-scheduled plan by the government to inoculate first dose of Covid vaccine to one crore of people across the country, which was continue till filing this report around 6:00 pm. After visiting the Bangladesh Institute of Health Management Center in Savar, thousands of people seen rushed to the center to get jabbed this day since morning, and scenario of crowds overflowing was the same as last few days, which continue till noon and police and other law enforcement agency members had difficulty dealing with the situation.
According to the Savar health complex, they are targeted to inoculate first dose of Covid vaccine to 50 thousands this day, and has set up centers each of union and ward level to curve people’s suffering and to complete the vaccine program without any hassle.
On the other hand, around 40 to 50 readymade garment workers of a factory named ‘Exaco Ltd’, located in Ashulia getting sick after get jabbed, and some of them later were admitted to hospital, confirmed Nazmul Alam Chowdhury, Senior Executive Officer of Exaco Ltd. Adding that, later all the worker returned back to home after primary treatment and recovered, besides factory authority announced factory closer for the day around 2:00 pm. Huda said inoculate a total of 1 lakhs and 80 thousands doses of Covid vaccine only this weak and suspecting the number of given vaccine will touches lakhs this day alone.
