Returning to acting after a short hiatus, audience-admired model and actor Sarika has performed in a couple of projects for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. Among her Eid ventures, the actor will be seen playing the titular role in a unique tele-drama titled ‘Miss Mashrafe’ directed by Tanveer.

With the story written by Sabuj Hawlader, the drama portrays Sarika as a cricket player who impersonates as a boy and helps her team  win a cricket series.

The two-day shooting of ‘Miss Mashrafe’ took place in the capital’s Uttara and Tongi areas recently.

About playing Miss Mashrafe, Sarika said, “Actually, I was sick during the shooting of the tele-drama. As I gave the schedule for the shooting,  I worked in the tele-drama accordingly. This is for the first time that I have worked under Tanveer’s direction and I have seen his earnestness to make quality contents. I am hopeful that the audiences will watch the drama enthusiastically.”

‘Miss Mashrafe’ will be aired on a satellite TV channel in the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
