A new, full-fledged committee of Sarankhola Press Club was formed on Monday (November 25), dissolving the previous convener committee.
A general meeting was held at Sarankhola Press Club auditorium on Monday evening. Sheikh Mohammad Ali (Ittefaq) was elected as the president, and Mohammad Anwar Hossain (Naya Diganta) was elected as the general secretary. The elections were conducted by former president Ismail Hossain Liton and general secretary Mahidul Islam.
Additionally, the 11-member executive committee was formed, consisting of vice president Nazrul Islam Akon (71' TV/Janakantha), joint general secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Bappi (S TV/ Bhorer Dokh), treasurer Abu Hanif (Probhah), publicity, publication, and office secretary Sabera Jhorna (Bangladesh Post), and executive members Ismail Hossain Liton (Protidiner Bangladesh), Mahidul Islam (Kaler Kantho), Aminul Islam Sagar (Bhorer Darpan), Shantanur Rahman Khokon (Inquilab), and Abdur Razzak Talukder (Khoborpatra).
Earlier, a convener committee had been formed for the Shoronkhola Press Club on August 26, which was dissolved after the new committee was formed.
