A total of 16,91,423 saplings were sold at the National Tree Fair. The total selling price of these saplings is 147,909,474 taka. The tree fair runs from June 25 to July 27 this year.
During this year's fair, sapling sales took place in a bustling atmosphere in the capital from 9 am to 8 pm every day. A total of 112 stalls participated in the fair.
Of these, there were 8 government stalls, 8 private stalls, 92 single nursery stalls, and 18 double stalls.
Dipankar Bor, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, informed it at the closing ceremony of the National Tree Fair-2025 on Sunday.
He said that ornamental tree seedlings were the most sold among the seedlings at this year's fair. A total of 454,574 ornamental seedlings were sold at the fair.
In addition, 337,640 fruit plants were sold, 248,274 forest plants, 114,515 medicinal plants, 1449 spice plants, 122,89 cactus plants, and 74,541 orchids.
