Sand trader stabbed to death

A sand trader stabbed to death by rivals at Arabpur area in Jashore on Monday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Aminur Rahman Bishe (45) son of Abdul Malek Hawladar of Arabpur Railgate area in the town. 

Shuvo Hawlader, younger brother of the deceased, said that Sagar, son of Delwar Hossain of Balia Vekutia Colony in Sadar upazila, has been occupying the land of a man at Narangali village and extracting and selling sand from there. The owner of the land informed his brother about this. Later, his brother Bishe went to the area and protested against the extraction of sand from the land. At the time, Sagar became angry.

Later, Sagar and his two supporters with sharp knives attacked on Bishe. They stabbed him in the chest and abdomen and fled from the spot. Locals rescued him and admitted to Jashore 250-bed general hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at about 4.45 pm.

Dipti Tripura, doctor at the hospital, said that Aminur Rahman Bishe died of excessive bleeding. 

Jashore Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) Mohammad Touhidul Islam said that a total of nine cases were filed against Aminur Rahman Bishe including murder, explosives, weapons and extortion.

A case was filed in Jashore Kotwali Model thana in this connection.
