SAJIDA Foundation works against COVID-19

SAJIDA Foundation and Renata Ltd, successor to Pfizer Inc. in Bangladesh, are working combat the COVID_19 in collaboration with the Directorate General of Health Services. SAJIDA has already reached 516,534 people through it’s different initiatives. 

The foundation  turned its  Narayanganj hospital  into an Isolation and ICU Center to treat COVID-19 patients, one of the first hospital from the private sector. With the support from  Renata Ltd. has already distributed  about  9000 Personal Protective Equipment units or PPEs.

SAJIDA’s till date has  distributed food and hygiene packages to more than 10,000 people  among poor urban households in the slums and streets of Bangladesh.

SAJIDA Foundation is aggressively engaged in educating communities on COVID-19, installed more than 400  locally designed hand washing stations, ramping up to another 800 stations or more in the coming weeks.  It has also distributed close to 300 trash cans to the vulnerable Ready Made Garment Factories as well.

SAJIDA’s has launched awareness initiatives for the  elderly, chronically ill, special needs children and trying to address mental health through tele counseling. It is also working with BRAC and Kaan Petey Roi to establish a Nationwide Counseling Hotline for people from all walks of life.

It has reached more than 120,000 people through phone calls. SAJIDA has also set up a 24/7 hotline for doctor consultation.  SAJIDA Foundation and Renata Ltd. will marshal all their resources to fight this pandemic in Bangladesh.
