Lille and Paris Saint-Germain will face each other at Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Sunday in a fixture of the 21st round in Ligue 1, agencies report.

Lille are currently occupying 5th position in the table with 31 points, while the capital team is on top of the standings with 49 points, eight more than their closest challengers.

Parisians won eight of the last nine meetings with Lille, including the first encounter for the current campaign. Despite their clear dominance in the latest H2H clashes, PSG not just lost their previous trip to Lille, but were trashed with 5:1. No draw has been registered in the last nine matches betwee the two sides. Four of the last five fixtures featured over 2,5 goals, while three witnessed goals at both ends.

Lille crashed out of the French League Cup after a 2:2 draw with Lyon in regular time, but lost in the penalty shoot-out. That was the first game to end without a winner in the normal time for the last fourteen Lille matches. Two of their last five meetings produced over 2,5 goals, and only the same two also saw both involved sides to hit the targets.

Paris SG are unbeaten in their last sixteen matches in all tournaments and on a run of three back-to-back victories. The trip to Lille will be the team’s fourth consecutive away game, but as the records show, this is not affecting their performances at all. Four of the Parisians last five outings featured over 2,5 goals, while three witnessed goals scored at both ends.
