A feature film on the life and works of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to mark his birth centenary will jointly be produced by Bangladesh and India. A lot of work is underway in both countries to meet the end and release the production next year which has been dubbed ‘Mujib Year’.
In this regard a three-member Indian film-making delegation led by Associate Director of the film Doyal Nihalani called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman on Sunday at latter’s office of the university.
Other members of the team were Assistant Art Director Debatitta Datta and Photography Director Akashdeep Pandey. Prof Dr AJM Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan of the Department Television, Film and Photography of DU and Proctor Prof Dr AKM Golam Rabbani were present on this occasion.
Prior to this, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while delivering his statement after an official talk with his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina at Hyderabad, “We have agreed to jointly produce a film on the life and works of Bangabandhu which will be released on his birth centenary year in 2020”.
