Saif Sporting stage strong comeback

Emeka Ogbugh slammed a hat-trick, as Saif Sporting Club ran out well-deserved winners when they drubbed the Swadhinota Krira Sngha by 5-1 in the TVS Bangladesh Premier League on Tuesday at the Muktijpddho Smriti Stadium Rajshahi. 

Saif Sporting Club returned to winning ways after suffering defeats in their two previous matches in a row. 

Saif, who onset the league with convincing manner winning their first two matches, saw a debacle in the very two matches with going down to Sheikh Russel and Mohammedan Sporting Club by 0-1 and 0-2 respectively. 

However, in the sixth match Saif SC demonstrated some commanding performances at the away ground in Rajshahi to down the host Swadhinota KS. 

In the goal galore match Emery Bayisenge initiated the scoring on 15th minute when Emeka Ogbugh opened his account to double the advantage on 35th minute (2-0).  

Saif SC, defending their first half lead, began the second half with continuing to apply pressure up the other end with a sublime second-half performance that saw Emeka Ogbugh found the net twice more and Asror Gazfurov struck once.  

Saif started the second half when there were 2-0 on the board and not even not a minute had gone by, the score-line go up 3-0 on 46th with Emeka Ogbugh scored his second. 

Swadhitona KS, who tipped off to appear as a giant killers with a stunning 2-1 win over the top favorites and the reigning champions Bashindhara Kings, could not maintain the route, could manage only a draw and suffered four defeats. 

On the day, Mavlonov bring some solace for Swadhinota KS reducing one goal three minutes later conceding three goals when the crafted a swift counter attack which ended with the Uzbek forward found the net.  

Saif SC, also a Chottagram based team continued their aggressive run to increase the margin and Ogbugh struck another couple of goals to complete his hat-trick when struck his second on 70th and the third on 79th minute. 

After winning the minute match Saif earned 10 points from six matches with three wins and a draw.
