Mohd. Safwan Choudhury has been re-elected as Vice Chairman of Bank Asia Ltd. at the 453nd meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bank held recently.
Mohd Safwan Choudhury is an eminent industrialist of the country. He is a former President of Sylhet Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Choudhury is the Managing Director of M. Ahmed Tea & Lands Co. Ltd, Phulbari Tea Estates Ltd., M. Ahmed Cold Storage Ltd, Premier Dyeing & Calendering Ltd., M. Ahmed Real Estates Ltd. and M. Ahmed Food & Spices Ltd.
He also served as the Chairman of Bangladesh Tea Association. He is the Chairman of FIVDB, an NGO providing primary education to the under privileged children.
