SAFF champion Sabina receives grant reception

SAFF champion Sabina Khatun, captain of the famous national women's football team, has been felicitated by the sports organization in Satkhira. Sabina reached Satkhira on Friday morning and various organizations including district administration and district sports organization gave floral greetings at circuit house. Later Sabina was taken on a pea procession and toured various roads in the city.

At this time, people from all over the world congratulated Sabina Khatun, the captain of the SAFF champion women's team, by throwing flowers and waving their hands. Ever since she returned to her home district of Satkhira, Sabina Khatun has been happy by such an honor. Satkhira District Sports Association Vice President Ashrafuzzaman Ashu, Satkhira District Sports Association Joint General Secretary Mir Tajul Islam Ripon, Farha Diba Khan Sathi and others were present at the programme.

Sabina told reporters that she never thought that the people of the country would get such love from the people of her district. Her goal is to do better in women's football for the country in the future. Then Sabina told reporters at her home about the struggle for a girl in a backward society to establish herself as a player.

Sabina Khatun, born in Palashpol, Satkhira, this female footballer started playing football in 2007 when she was studying in class eight. She got a chance in the national team in 2009. After that, there was no looking back. In 2016, she got the captaincy of the Bangladesh women's football team. She said that the contribution of local coach Akbar Ali was more behind the rise of Sabina. Sabina's future goal is to do something good for the country at the ASEAN Games. She established an academy for the girls of Satkhira to play a more prominent role in national football.
