Chuadanga District Administration and District Livestock Department have arranged all kinds of preparation to sell and buy the sacrificial animals online. The information was disclosed during a press conference held at Deputy Commissioner Conference Room on Tuesday.
Nazrul Islam Sarker, Deputy Commissioner, presided over the press conference. Dr. Golam Mostofa, District Livestock Officer, Monira Pervin, ADC (general), Arafat Rahman, Additional District Magistrate, Md. Abu Tarek, Additional Police Super, Reajul Islam Joarder Toton, Joint Secretary of District Awami League, Munsi Alamgir Hannan, Joint Secretary of District Awami League were present at the press conference and briefed on the issue before local journalists.
About 5,000 sacrificial animals’ photos, its prices, weight, addresses and contact numbers have been uploaded on the ‘On Line Poshuhaat, Chuadanga’ for sellers and buyers, disclosed it at the press conference.
According to District Livestock Department, a total of 112,955 animals are in the district. Of the total 21,613 animals are in sadar upazila, 38,781 in Alamdanga upazila, 26,485 in Damurhuda upazila and 26,176 in Jibannagar upazila.
Nazrul Islam Sarker, Deputy Commissioner of Chuadanga urged upon all to buy and sell the sacrificial animals through on line system for avoiding the public gathering over controlling of coronavirus infection.
