Bangladesh batsman Sabbir Rahman revealed that he had learned his lesson from MS Dhoni during the ICC World T20 and added that he was cautious not to repeat a similar mistake in the last edition of the World Cup, report agencies.

MS Dhoni stumped him in the ICC World T20 within a split of a second in the crucial game in Bangalore and that literally took the game away from the hand of Bangladesh as Sabbir was looking to be his sublime best making 15-ball 26 with the help of three boundaries and one over the boundary before Dhoni spoiled his day by stumping him from a Suresh Raina delivery.

In the ICC World Cup in England, Sabbir was going great guns too making run-a-ball 36 before Jasprit Bumrah removed him but during his innings he was troubled by leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and was about to make a similar mistake that he did in the ICC World T20.

Chahal floated a delivery wider of off stump and Sabbir wanted to go hard at it but missed it but the right handed batsman immediately rushed back to the wicket as the ball was creeping under his bat by falling just to stay inside the crease as Dhoni lie in wait looking to do a stumping.

‘’Dhoni stumped me during the T20 World Cup in Bangalore. He was standing for stumping again this time also, I slide before him while running and told him that ‘Aaz nehi’ [not today],’’ Sabbir told Cricfrenzy during a Facebook live where he also revealed the mantra Dhoni believes while batting.

‘’[During the home series in 2015]I asked him [MS Dhoni] how you hit such big sixes. Whatever you hit becomes six, how. Tell me the secret of your bat. What is in your bat that we don’t have and as a result our sixes don’t go as far as your ones,’’ said Sabbir.

‘’He[ Dhoni] told me that it's just the confidence. Besides, there is nothing in my bat. If I think that I'm going to be hit six, then there will be 90 sixes out of 100. That is confidence,’’ he said.

‘’Then I say to him give me one of your bat and  I will try to play against you with that bat and He told me that not against us, you can play with another team but can't play against me,’’ he concluded.
