Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), Professor Nehal Ahmed, announced that several SAARC countries are interested in adopting Bangladesh's innovative new curriculum. He made these remarks while paying respects at Bangabandhu mausoleum in Tungipara, Gopalganj.

Professor Nehal Ahmed highlighted Bangladesh's leadership in developing a modern education system among SAARC nations. He mentioned that India is currently testing elements of Bangladesh's curriculum and may fully adopt it within the next few years.

Addressing concerns about the transition, Professor Nehal Ahmed reassured parents that the new curriculum is essential for keeping pace with global educational standards. He acknowledged challenges from coaching centers that profit from traditional study materials.

Despite resistance from these centers, the DSHE remains committed to implementing the new curriculum for the benefit of students. Professor Nehal Ahmed's visit to Bangabandhu's tomb included prayers and participation in religious ceremonies.

The DSHE's efforts aim to modernize education in Bangladesh and could influence educational reforms across the SAARC region.
