State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russell MP on Saturday congratulated the Bangladesh national Kabaddi team for emerging unbeaten champions in the Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi Tournament.
In a congratulatory message on Saturday, the state minister hailed all the players, coaches, officials and all concerned of the Bangladesh Kabaddi team.
Russell said: “I am happy and proud that Bangladesh become undefeated champions in Bangabandhu Cup Kabaddi organized for the first time in the country marking Bangabandhu’s birth centenary and golden jubilee of independence.”
“This victory is a unique milestone in the history of Kabaddi of the country. I hope that Bangladesh Kabaddi team will continue this progress of success in the future,” he added.
Host Bangladesh emerged unbeaten champions in the Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi tournament beating Kenya by 34-28 points with two creditable ‘lona’ in the final.
