Runa Laila’s tune sung by Adnan Sami

Runa Laila is a legendary artiste of the country. Her 52 year career has been full of her giving voice to music of various local and foreign music directors. 

However, this time it is the opposite, the Indian singer, Adnan Sami had a long cherished wish to sing a Bengali song which has been fulfilled by famous singer Runa Laila.

Recently Runa Laila has appeared with her great talent of composing music of her album “Runa Laila featuring Legends forever”.

Adnan Sami not only lend his voice to the song but also sang along with Runa laila. The song titling “Thako Jokhon-e Tumi” will be released on City Bank and Prothom Alo’s Facebook page and youtube channel.

The song has been written by Monirujjaman Monir and Raja Kaasheff has arranged the music.

Speaking of song the Adnan Said, “At first I want to say, this is going to be my first Bengali song and I am very happy with it. It’s a matter of respect that I have lent my voice along with the legendary singer Runa Laila. But the most important fact is the song has been composed by Runaji herself.”

Adnan sami said he worked with Runa Laila at the age of 10 at a concert in Abu Dhabi where Adnan was a pianist. Since then Adnan had the wish to sing Bengali song.

Adnan also hoped that the audience will like the song and he wishes to meet his fans in Dhaka.

Shahriar Polok had made the music video of Runa Laila and Adnan Sami’s song. Shamol Mawla and Jui was the model in the music video.
