National Film Award winning actress Runa Khan and Lux star Shanarei Devi Shanu worked together for the first time in a drama. The name of the drama is ‘Rupar Angti’. It is directed by Himel Isaac. In the meantime, the shooting of the drama has been completed in different locations of Uttara in the capital. In this play Runa Khan plays the elder wife and Shanu the younger wife.
‘Rupar Angti’ is a drama based on the War of Liberation. The story revolves around a father of a family going missing and later on identifying the missing individual through locating a silver ring at the killing ground. Shatabdi Wadud and Dolly Zahur also starred in this.
In this regard, Runa Khan said, “Respected Syed Manzoorul Islam wrote the drama based on a real life story. That is why I have done the work with so much interest. The story is full of emotions. In all, we have tried to do a good job. I am optimistic about the drama.” Runa Khan said the drama will be aired today on BTV after the 8:00pm news.
