Paramount releases a new trailer for their animated adventure, Rumble, and reveals the film will be hitting Paramount+ later this year.
The highly anticipated trailer for the latest animated Paramount film Rumble is finally here, with an earlier release date than initially expected. The animated movie was originally slated for a July 2020 release but was pushed back multiple times due to the pandemic, with a February 2022 date being the last set release date.
Rumble takes place in a world where monsters are considered superstar athletes in the global sport of monster wrestling, focusing on Winnie, a 17-year-old aspiring monster manager, and her latest trainee, Steve.
The latest trailer from Paramount takes fans headfirst into the fictional town of Stoker, the “birthplace of monster wrestling,” with a focus on the relationship between Winnie and Steve as the underdog attempts to find his footing, highlighting their unorthodox training techniques.
Along with the trailer, Paramount also announced that Rumble’s release date has been moved from February 18, 2022, to December 15, 2021, streaming exclusively on Paramount+. Check out the trailer below.
Will Arnett stars as the voice of Steve, with Geraldine Viswanathan voicing his counterpart, Winnie. WWE Superstars Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch are also among the sports-themed cast, with Charles Barkley, Stephen A. Smith, and Terry Crews lending their voice talents as well.
The storyline for the film was inspired by a 2013 Rob Harrell graphic novel Monster on the Hill, with changes coming from the Rumble movie writers Matt Lieberman and Hamish Grieve. Grieve will also be taking on the director’s role, marking his directorial debut in a feature film.
The latest trailer gives fans an exciting taste of this amusing underdog story, along with a sample of the monstrously good time that’s in store for audiences this holiday season. Rumble will be available for streaming on December 15 exclusively on Paramount+.
