National Film Award winning model and actress Rumana Khan has become a mother. Rumana gave birth to a healthy daughter at a hospital in New York on October 22.
Rumana’s first child saw the light of the world under the supervision of Dr Deepak Nanda and his team. She is ecstatic about becoming a mother for the first time.
Regarding this she said, “I got to experience what it means to be a woman in the fullest sense after becoming a mother. I am tearing up every time I think about it out of happiness. Everyone in my family is happy and I am really grateful to god for helping me through this and giving me such a beautiful daughter. Everyone please pray for my child.”
Rumana's daughter is named Avanka. The name has been chosen by Rumana's husband Allen Rahman. Rumana and Allen were married on August 7th, 2015. Rumana's mother and her older brother's family are also in New York with Rumana. As a result of this, Rumana is grateful to have her family beside her to share in the joy of her motherhood.
Whether she has any plans to visit Bangladesh along with her daughter, Rumana said, “I am a Bangladeshi. I grew up seeing the light and breathing the air of Bangladesh, the smell of the soil of Bangladesh is on me. I also wish that my child can get the similar experiences. I will definitely come when I get the time.”
Rumana was honored with the National Film Award for her performance in the movie ‘Bhalobashlei Ghor Badha Jae Na’ by Zakir Hossain Raju. She was last seen in a recent drama opposite to Apurbo directed by Rahmatullah Tuhin.
