Her last film ‘Kidnap’ opposite Dev didn’t live up to the expectations at the box office. Up next for Rukmini Maitra is Kamaleswar Mukherjee’s ‘Password’ which sees her as an ethical hacker. Yes, quite a challenging role for sure.
There’s also an interesting catch! This film won’t see her doing usual romance with Dev as we have seen in her earlier films. Instead, in this thriller Rukmini along with Dev is an allied force. Dev plays DCP Rohit Dasgupta of the cybercrime department who is hunting down an international cybercrime gang Onion whose mastermind is a mysterious man played by Parambrata Chatterjee.
Rukmini is no doubt quite excited about her latest avatar Nisha as she shared a new look of her from ‘Password’ on social media recently. You can see a gun-trotting woman with an intense determined look and it has already hooked her fans and followers.
Beside Rukmini, Adrit Roy will also be seen as an ethical hacker who helps Rohit Dasgupta in his mission. On the other hand, Paoli Dam will be seen aiding Parambrata’s character who poses a national security threat.
Produced by Dev's home production, ‘Password’ will release during Puja this year.
