Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) and Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their cooperation by exchanging teachers and academic curriculum.
The agreement was signed on Saturday by RUET Registrar Arif Ahmed Chowdhury and BIM Director Engineer Dr Mamunur Rashid at a ceremony held at the RUET campus.
RUET Vice-Chancellor Professor SM Abdur Razzaque and Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell Professor Imdadul Haque, along with senior officials from both institutions, attended the signing programme.
Under the MoU, RUET and BIM will collaborate on sharing teaching expertise, academic materials, and research support. The exchange of teachers will allow both institutions to benefit from diverse experiences and skills, while curriculum sharing will help ensure modern, industry-oriented education.
Officials from both sides said the initiative aims to infuse more dynamism into their academic and professional activities. They believe it will open opportunities for innovation, skill development, and knowledge sharing, ultimately benefiting students and professionals in engineering, technology, and management fields.
The MoU will also pave the way for joint training programmes, seminars, and workshops. These activities are expected to enhance institutional capacity and better prepare graduates for the rapidly changing job market.
Both RUET and BIM expressed optimism that this partnership will set an example of practical collaboration between technical and management education institutions in Bangladesh.
