Admission test in integrated process will not to be held at Rajshahi University.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the university’s academic council committee on Monday. RU vice chancellor Prof M Abdus Sobhan presided over the meeting.
While asking why RU will not take the test in the integrated process, RU Botany department professor and also the council member Dr. Ahmed Imtiaz said that if there is symmetry, a question regarding the transparency of the test can be raised.
Dr. Iftikharul Alam Masud, another council member, said that the universities can take the test simultaneously like medical colleges.
However, according to the teachers of the university, four existing universities which are directed by the university act of 1973 can take the integrated test following a proper decision of those universities only.
