Police on Saturday arrested 3 suspects in connection with the stabbing incident of a student of Rajshahi University named Abdullah Al Zaheed on Friday night. They were arrested by conducting raids in different areas of the city till noon on Saturday. Preliminary interrogation is going on.
Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandrima Police Station of Rajshahi city SM Masud Parvez said, “3 people were arrested in the operation till Saturday noon. They are undergoing preliminary interrogation.”
Earlier on Friday night, a student of the university was seriously injured after getting stabbed by some muggers at Fine Arts faculty premises at around 8 pm.
The victim student Abdullah Al Zaheed is a student in the 2017-18 academic year of Bangla department of the university.
Currently, he is under treatment in the emergency department of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMC).
