Rajshahi University Science Club on Saturday distributed 1,000 saplings among students of different schools and colleges adjacent to the university campus.
The club took the initiative to distribute saplings among the students to create awareness and save the natural environment.The saplings were distributed in a programme held at Mashkata Dighi Multi (Tech) High School and college premises.
RU Botany department professor M. Monzur Hossain, Mashkata Dighi Multi (Tech) High School and college assistant teacher Abdul Halim and club president Ashraful Alam, among others, were present at the saplings distribution programme.
