In an announcement, the Institute of Biological Sciences (IBSC) at Rajshahi University has invited applications for MPhil and PhD courses. The MPhil course lasts two years, whereas the PhD course lasts three years. The fees for MPhil and Ph.D. will be fixed by the academic committee as per the rules of the university. Students will get a monthly fellowship of TK 15,000 for MPhil and TK 20,000 for PhD.
To apply for that program, applicants have to attest photocopies of all examination certificates, and mark sheets must be attached to the application form. Employed candidates should apply through the appropriate authority. Interested candidates can apply until March 25.
Eligibility for admission to the MPhil course: Students of biology, agriculture, physical education, sports science, and related subjects, and any subject related to biology research in the Faculty of Science, can apply.
Eligibility for admission to the PhD course: Students of biology, agriculture, physical education, sports, and related subjects can apply.
Part-time Research in the MPhil/PhD Program: From the academic year 2023–24, an applicant can be admitted as a part-time researcher in the MPhil/PhD program. Part-time researchers will not be obligated to take the research period. However, in MPhil/PhD programs, 50 percent of the coursework must be done in person, 50 percent online, the examination must be done in blended mode.
The MPhil program must be completed in a minimum 3 (three) years to a maximum 6 (six) years, and the PhD program must be completed in a minimum 5 (five) years to a maximum 8 (eight) years. However, other rules for MPhils and PhDs will apply to part-time researchers. Part-time researchers will not be given any kind of scholarship, financial grant, or facilities like regular researchers from IBSC.
If the information provided in the initial application form is found to be incorrect, the application form will be considered invalid.
Application Procedure: The application form can be filled out online. For this, you have to select M.Phil. or Ph.D. from the admission option on the http://www.mphibscru.com/admission/MPH portal. After filling out all the details properly, the applicant has to pay TK 2,050 (two thousand and fifty) through the preferred option of this portal. Otherwise, the application submission will not be completed.
