Speakers at a human chain organised by Rajshahi Press Club in front of the club on Thursday morning demanded to withdraw case filed against Senior Reporter Rozina Islam and to take punitive measure against the torturer of Rozina and responsible officials and employees of the Ministry of Health.
The human chain programme was presided over by President of Rajshahi Press Club and President of Public leader Ataur Rahman Smriti Parishad Saidur Rahman.
Conducted by General Secretary of RPC Aslam-ud-dowla, the programme was attended and addressed, among others, by columnist, Journalist Prasanta Kumar Saha as the chief guest, RU Professor Dr. Moloy Bhoumik, former President of RPC Advocate Nazrul Islam Khan, Golam Sarwar, Anowar Iqbal Badal, Salauddin Mintu and Khandker Mustafizur Rahman Reza of BTC News.
Speakers at the human chain mentioned most of the bureaucrats of the country are engaged in unprecedented corruption.
During the Corona period, the relentless corruption of the Ministry of Health has been visible and Senior Journalist Rozina Islam was the victim of conspiracy of the corrupt bureaucrats because she was writing news over the corruption of the health ministry officials.
The speakers demanded punishment of all involved with the torture of Journalist Rozina.
