Legendary actor Mesbahuddin Ahmed, popularly known as Wasim, passed away early Sunday at the age of 74.

Wasim, Rozina is considered as a legendary couple in the film world. In more than 75 films, they have paired up and come in front of the audience. This is also a big milestone in the history of Bengali cinema. Not only on the silver screen, but in reality they were friendly. Even though the distance of meeting increased, they were always looking for each other.  Rozina is in a kind of wailing after losing her friend says about the superstar Wasim. My first movie as a heroine is 'Rajmahal' and Wasim was my hero. He was a superstar then. As a newcomer for me to act opposite with such a big hero was a huge deal.

I shot 'Rajmahal' in 1986. Released in 1986. Then the movie did extensive business. 'Rajmahal' changed the story of my life. The life-changing event is also a memorable event in my acting life. I will never forget it.

I have worked with him on a lot of films. That must be about 60-70. It is also special to work together in so many films. There is no genre of film that we have not acted in together. Social, political, people, village, bandit, royal story - everything.

‘Rajmahal’, ‘Mansi’, ‘Bini Sutar Mala’, ‘Bhagyalipi’, ‘Mayer Aanchal’- and many more hit films we have together.

I don’t want to compare one with other. At that time Razzak, Alamgir, Farooq, Sohail Rana, Zafar Iqbal Bhai were establish, superstar. We all had friendly relationship with each other. But Wasim Bhai was differently sincere. He was always in a good mood, liked to keep others happy. It was seen that he started acting again by saying 'cut' in the shooting.
