An inauguration ceremony on Rooftop Gardening organized by BRAC Urban Development Program and Faridpur Municipality was held in Faridpur on Monday.
Chief Executive Officer of Faridpur Municipality Shajahan Mia inaugurated the programme. In his opening speech, he thanked BRAC UDP for taking such an initiative.
Chief Executive Engineer Shamsul Alom, Women Councilor Trishna Rani Saha and Hosneara Begum, Councilor of Faridpur Municipality Chowdhuri Anisur Rahman Shabul, Idris Khan, Khandakar Shamsul Arefin Sagar, Regional Coordinator of BRAC Urban Development Programme Md. Ekram Hossain, Town Manager of LIUPC Asim Kumar, Field Coordinator Md. Zakir Hossain Shakil and other officers of BRAC Urban Development Programme were also present in this programme.
Speakers said it would add extra value to create a green and healthy city. Fruit and vegetable plantation were planted in this Roof top Agriculture.
