Roman Shana clearly informed that he will not beg pardon to the General Secretary of Bangladesh Archer Federation (BAF) Kazi Razibuddin Chapol. Roman Shana met with the General Secretary at the BAF office on Sunday. The general secretary asked him to withdraw all complain and seek unconditional apology. But the archer said, “I will not beg pardon to him and the authorities of the federation.

Bangladeshi archer Roman Shana is upset by comments made by the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Archery Federation (BAF) regarding his decision to retire from national duty. Shana, a decorated archer with numerous individual and team medals in recurve archery, previously requested to be dropped from the national team citing a lack of proper facilities. The BAF accepted his request last week.

BAF General Secretary Kazi Razibuddin Ahmed Chapol publicly questioned Shana's mental well-being, suggesting he needed psychiatric evaluation. Chapol also denied Sana's claims about low salaries and inadequate facilities.

"He has mental issues. I'll take him to a good psychiatrist," Chapol said in the interview, further claiming that Roman's allegations of low salary and poor facilities are entirely false.

Shana strongly refuted these accusations. He emphasized his mental stability by highlighting his past achievements and public appearances.

Roman Shana said, "I respect him (Kazi Razibuddin Ahmed Chapol) very much. How can a wise man say such things! I have been hurt by his words.

"If I were mad, how am I here among you all? How am I speaking normally? How did I win so many international medals and how did I win a world cup silver medal?" Roman added.

He intends to discuss the situation with the country's sports minister, Nazmul Hassan Papon, with the hope of raising awareness about the issues faced by athletes. Notably, Shana did not interact with Chapol who was also present at the same event.
