RAB-7 arrested Rocky Barua who joined a meeting with the Delwar Hossain Sayedee’s son at Patia Thana area of Chattogram.
Rocky Barua was arrested while jumping from the third floor after receiving information about the RAB operation on Tuesday morning. A foreign pistol, a bottle of liquor was recovered from him. The police arrested four associates including a woman this time.
Chittagong RAB-7 Captain Lt. Colonel Md. Mashiur Rahman Jewel confirmed the arrest of Rocky Barua. He said Rocky Barua and his associates had a secret meeting with Sayedee's son at a house in Patiya upazila. This person is related and controversial in various fraudulent activities including religious business in the whole of South Chittagong including Patia Satkania.
The RAB raided his house in Muradpur area of Panchlaish police station on Tuesday. Rocky Barua was injured when he jumped from a three-storey house and escaped. He was later arrested and admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Four accomplices with a young woman were detained from the house. A foreign pistol, a bottle of liquor and various tools of various fraudulent activities were recovered from the same house. The process of taking legal action against him is underway.
