Rock band ‘Chirkutt’ and ‘Rhythm of Bangladesh’ performed in Michigan on May 27. Folk bands 'Chirkutt’ and 'Rhythm of Bangladesh' captivated the people of Michigan in USA with their outstanding performance on last May 27.
‘Chirkutt’, most famous rock band in Bangladesh, staged its performance in Michigan of USA along with ‘Rhythm of Bangladesh’, which is also a most popular band created by some brilliant Bangladeshi youths living in Michigan.
Organised by ‘Vier Events’, the stage show was very much enjoyable to the Michigan people. The performance will remain in their mind for a long time.
Folk band ‘Chirkutt’ performed the stage show following the opening session by the ‘Rhythm of Bangladesh’.
The Rhythm of Bangladesh earlier also performed in two other opening sessions of another Bangladesh popular band ‘Miles’ in both Michigan an Ohio.
It was the third musical tour of ‘Chirkutt’ in the United States. As part of its long musical journey titled ‘The Legacy Tour, USA 2023’. The tour will continue till the end of June.
During this tour, the band will perform music concerts in various other cities in North America.
‘Chirkutt’ has been entertaining its fans with original songs and new compositions for 21 years. Previously the band rocked two concerts in States. One was in 2015 and another in 2016.
They also participated in a historic concert with the legendary world music band 'Scorpions' at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, which was organised by the Ministry of ICT of Bangladesh to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the independence of the country.
Moreover, 'Chirkutt' has performed in various concerts in different cities in Norway, England, Australia, Sri Lanka, India, and Malaysia for the past 11 years.
They have also performed at one of the world’s largest and most prestigious music festivals, South by Southwest (SXSW), in 2016 as the first and only band from Bangladesh.
Formed in 2002, the band consists of vocalist Sharmin Sultana Sumi, guitarist Emon Chowdhury, keyboardist Jahid Nirob, and drummer Pavel Areen.
