Robust growth in AC sales of Walton brand

The local electronics giant Walton has witnessed a robust growth in the sales of its air conditioner during heavy heatwave all over the country in this year.

According to Walton, sales of their air conditioners during the first four-months (January to April) of the current year have already surpassed the total sales of Walton ACs in 2018, according to a company statement.

In addition, Walton posted about 181.01 percent growth in its AC sales during the months of January to May of 2019 compared to its AC sales in the corresponding period of the previous year, led the local brand to witness a record sales of its AC in the domestic market.

Dwelling on the robust growth in AC sales, Md. Tanvir Rahman, executive director and chief executive officer of Walton AC, said that they undertook some timely and strategic working plans.

As per the plans, new models of air conditioner with state-of-the art technologies like huge power efficient twin fold inverter, ionizer for ensuring dust-free air flow across the room, turbo cooling mood, golden colour fin, voice and mobile phone controlled smart ACs are released at affordable prices in the domestic market.

Mofizur Rahaman, deputy operative director of Walton, said customers were offered some extra benefits on the purchase of Walton brand ACs. The benefits were: allowing customers to change their used AC of any other brand with Walton brand’s new ACs at 25 percent discount under ‘AC Exchange Offer’ that is continued from February this year, in all sales of Walton AC in the domestic market were gone up sharply with the raise of local temperature; offer of free brand new car, fridge, TV, AC, 1-year electricity bill or other sorts of appliances, sure cash vouchers up to Tk 1 lakh.

Besides, offer for gold edition cricket bat-ball with the autograph of Bangladesh National Cricket Team’s captain and Walton brand Ambassador Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, allowing 10 percent discounts on the purchase through credit cards of different banks, and Tk 500 instant cashback on the set of Walton AC’s caller tune and upload of selfie with the newly purchased AC of Walton brand put positive impact, it added.

Engineer Ishaque Rony, chief operating officer of Walton AC, said that sales of their air conditioners were increased sharply in this year centering heavy heatwave all over the country.
